Eeeeeeeek! It's my favorite week!!!!!

Can you tell I'm super excited?

Like, HELLA excited?!?  

Restaurant Week will be in full force here in Madison, Wisconsin from January 17th - 22nd, and I don't know what to do with myself! Soooooo many restaurants with sooooo many great menus to drool over... I just don't know where to start!  I can't decide on which ones to eat at! I want to try them all!  

I.  Just.  Can't.

(Deep breaths.)

(Nice long deep breaths.)

Alright, I'm back.  

I had to control my excitement a bit.  This is what I live for peeps! 

For those of you who aren't too familiar with this spectacular semi-annual food event, let me give you the   4-1-1 (does this phrase age me a bit?).  This culinary affair, is a food lovers dream!  Anyone from the novice food enthusiast, to the savant that declares food as their religion, can benefit from the pre-fixed menus that some of the finest eateries in Madison have to offer.  Some have even experienced a culinary awakening after their first Restaurant Week (True story, starring me).

I've decided that I need a plan of attack to be able to take full advantage of what the week has to offer.  Since I do still have the standard 9-to-5 that, alas, I must be present and accounted for, this will have to be handled with finesse if I want to be victorious during this week of indulgence. I've got my iPhone in my hand with my calendar up and I'm ready to tackle this head on.  

So let's go!!! (game face on)

I've looked over the list of participating restaurants and have taken into account restaurants that I love and frequent, and those that I have never had the privilege of ever stepping foot inside of, and narrowed it down to the following targets:

Roast Public House for lunch

Buck & Honey's for lunch

Doolittles Woodfire Grill for lunch

Bonfyre American Grille for lunch

Lombardino's for dinner  (BTW, I absolutely LOVE this place so I HAVE to eat here again.)

Umami Ramen & Dumpling Bar for dinner  (Another fav of mine)

Nonno's Ristorante Italiano for dinner

Merchant for dinner

Fresco for dinner

It's quite an ambitious list, I know.... and I may have to up my cardio regimen for the week... but whatevs, I got this!  You better believe I'll be making the rezzies for each one and reserving a front row seat to my very own personal culinary exhibit.  But, most importantly, I'll be reporting back to all you beautiful people on every morsel of food and every drop of wine, I consume.... 'cause well... that's what I do!
